11-year-old boy reported missing in North Shelby

NORTH SHELBY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 11-year-old Matthew David Aaron of North Shelby, who was last seen at the office of Shoal Run apartments April 8.
Aaron, who has special medical needs and requires the care of his family, was wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance, according to a news release. Aaron is 5-foot-3 and weighs about 135 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Aaron also was reported missing Feb. 24 and found unharmed the same day. At that time, sheriff’s deputies and investigators believed Aaron left his home on his own. Aaron was reported nationally as “Missing” through the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center, the National Crime Information Center and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
