Shelby County Schools, Alabaster City Schools and Hoover City Schools will delay opening by two hours April 7 after a night of heavy rain and flooding. Buses will run on a two-hour delayed schedule.

The National Weather Service in Calera has issued a flash flood warning for Shelby County until 7:30 a.m.
