VINCENT—The town of Vincent Park and Recreation Board will host the third annual Vincent in the Park community event April 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Vincent Municipal Park.
“We’ve enjoyed it every year, and it’s just getting bigger and bigger,” event organizer and chair of the Parks and Recreation board Bridgette Jordan said.
This year, approximately 25 vendors will attend the event, Jordan said.
Vincent Middle High band boosters and Johnny Ray’s BBQ will provide food for the festival, and the Vincent High School choir, Unity Male Chorus, Tiffeney’s Performing Arts and RadioX will all perform on the entertainment stage.
The festival will also highlight health, with blood pressure and weight screenings. LifeSouth will take blood donations in honor of 6-year-old Madison Bank who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
The ROTC program at Vincent High School will help run a children’s village, with inflatables, face painting and other kid-friendly activities.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, or to apply as a vendor, call 281-5274 or 672-2261.
