Area schools to close Tuesday due to winter weather threat

The following schools will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 11 due to the threat of winter weather Monday night and Tuesday morning:

  • Alabaster City Schools (All extracurricular events set for tonight, Feb. 10, will go on as scheduled)
  • Hoover City Schools
  • Jefferson State Community College Shelby-Hoover Campus
  • Shelby County Schools (All extracurricular events set for tonight, Feb. 10, will go on as scheduled)
  • University of Montevallo (Classes and extracurricular events set for tonight, Feb. 10, will go on as scheduled)
