PELHAM — Linda Nolen Learning Center is in need of food for about 27 special-needs students who stayed at the school overnight.

According to a post on the Facebook page, “Stranded Motorists Help Jan. 28, 2014,” the center does not have a cafeteria and reportedly only has enough food to last through lunchtime.

At about 9 a.m. on Jan. 29, the school’s secretary said LNLC “had food coming,” and praised the community for quickly coming to the school’s aid.

The center is located at 2280 Shelby County 35 in Pelham.
