Rev. Robert Felton “Bob” Williams, age 56, of Calera, passed away suddenly on Dec. 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Shelby County on Dec. 18, 1957; the son of the late Gaston Fred Williams Sr. and the late Ailene Ellison Williams.
He was the superintendent of the City of Calera Waterworks, with 34 years of service.
He was the former pastor of Dogwood Assembly of God Church. He was currently an active member of the Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church where he was the teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class, leader of the Royal Rangers and enjoyed singing in the choir.
He is survived by wife, Treasure Williams of Calera; son, Brian Horton of Montevallo; son, Jason Horton of Calera; daughter, Heather Lane of Montevallo; daughter, Meagan Griffin of Alabaster; 12 grandchildren; sister, Jenny Avery of Calera; and brother, Butch Williams of Jemison.
Visitation will be held on Dec. 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bolton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Community Cemetery in Jemison.
