HOOVER — A preliminary hearing has been set for a man charged with producing child pornography.

Jason Michael Hankins, age and residence unavailable, will appear before Shelby County Circuit Judge Dan Reeves Jan. 15 at 8:30 a.m., according to court documents. Hankins was arrested Dec. 13 in Hoover and charged with one count of production of pornography with minors, a felony offense. Hankins was released from jail Dec. 16 after posting $60,000 bond.
