HOOVER — Hoover Police continue to investigate the death of an unidentified man discovered Nov. 24 off Elvira Road in Shelby County, and have reason to believe the victim’s body was moved from another location.
“Based on evidence at the scene, there is certainty that the victim’s body was transported from another location to Elvira Road,” Hoover Police spokesman Capt. Jim Coker said in an email Nov. 25. “Detectives are tracing leads tonight, and checking with other law enforcement agencies.”
Coker said in a prior news release the victim’s body was found in an underdeveloped, wooded area off Elvira Road, or County Road 269. The victim’s identity has yet to be released by authorities.
Anyone with information is urged to call Sgt. Keith Czeskalba at (205) 212-8224 or Detective Chad Godsey at (205) 965-5981.
