HOOVER — The power of Facebook has led to the arrests of three men in connection with a burglary at the Fish Market Restaurant off U.S. 280 last month.

Darrius Daniel Moon and Richard Allen Blackerby are being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds of $10,000 and $20,000, respectively. Moon is charged with conspiracy to commit theft and Blackerby is charged with first-degree theft of property.

The third suspect, Wesley Herbert Tennyson III, is charged with first-degree theft of property. Tennyson is being held in the Chilton County Jail on $20,000 bond.

A large piece of commercial kitchen equipment was stolen from the Fish Market Restaurant Oct. 27. After the burglary, Hoover Police posted a surveillance photograph on its Facebook page, which resulted in the suspects’ arrests, said Hoover Police Department spokesman Capt. Jim Coker.

“Never underestimate the power of the media and social media,” Coker said.
