HOOVER — The Hoover Police Department will hold a drug take-back program Oct. 26 for anyone wishing to dispose of prescription drugs in a safe manner.

The event will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Hoover City Hall in the back parking lot.

Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms will be collected, according to a Hoover Police Department press release. Intravenous solution, injectables and syringes will not be accepted. This service is free and anonymous, according to the press release.

“The Drug Take-Back Day has been a phenomenal success each time we have hosted it in Hoover,” Hoover Police Capt. Jim Coker wrote in an email.
