COLUMBIANA – One person was transported by helicopter to UAB Hospital and two were transported by ambulance after a two-car accident on Alabama 25 in Columbiana this morning.

The accident involving a Jeep Cherokee and a Chevrolet pickup truck happened around 12:15 p.m. Oct. 3 on Alabama 25 across from the Columbiana Villas apartment complex, according to the Columbiana Police Department.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The scene has since been cleared and all roads are open at this time. Check back as more information becomes available.
