PELHAM – The Spain Park Lady Jags softball team advanced to the Class 6A, Area 8 tournament semifinals with a 2-0 victory over Chelsea May 3.

Haleigh Sisson pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed four hits with three strikeouts and a walk in the win for the Lady Jags. Mary Kathryn Bonamy and Madi Gibson each went 1-for-3 with a RBI.

Caiti Davis took the loss for Chelsea while allowing two runs on three hits over six innings with two strikeouts and three walks. JoJo Johnson and Jordan Gray each doubled to lead the Hornets.

Spain Park will take on the loser of the Pelham/Oak Mountain game at 2 p.m. May 3.
