Abbey and Wendy are Shelby Humane Society’s Pets of the Week this week and they just don’t get any cuter than this!

Abbey, a 4-month-old puppy, and Wendy, a 2-month-old kitten, are eagerly awaiting your visit. After one whimper, one purr or one kiss they are sure to have you hooked.

Abbey is a gorgeous little retriever mix. She is so excited to be near you; she will leap into your arms and nuzzle as close as possible. Abbey enjoys play time and snuggle time.

Wendy is a sweet black shorthaired kitten through and through, all the way from her little toes to her sandpaper tongue. She is happy to give you a sniff and a kiss and then bounce around to play some more.

A puppy or a kitten can be a great addition to a family looking for a pet that will easily adapt to children or other pets. They do need more of your time so they can grow up happy, outgoing and properly trained. But if you prepare yourself for the challenges, you will be rewarded with a wonderful pet!
