The Shelby County Ladycats finished the Andalusia tournament with a pair of victories April 6.

Shelby County (15-3) fell to Kinston 5-2 before defeating Prattville Christian Academy and Jackson.

Kaitlyn Paschall took the loss against Kinston while allowing five runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and a walk. Brittany Lansford and Jessica Carden each went 1-for-2 with a RBI.

Anna Morgan Couch allowed one run on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk in a 3-1 win over Prattville Christian. Brianna Buie led Shelby County batting 1-for-1 with a double and a run.

Carden pitched a one-hit shutout in the Ladycats’ 5-0 victory over Jackson. Carden had four strikeouts and two walks for the win. Buie led Shelby County with a 2-for-3 effort with two runs. Paschall added a 1-for-3 effort with a double and two RBIs.
