The Shelby County Ladycats held off a late rally by Alma Bryant to take a 3-2 victory at the Andalusia tournament April 5.

The Ladycats (13-2) were led by Jessica Carden’s five-inning effort inside the circle while allowing two runs on two hits with seven strikeouts and four walks.

Carden added a 0-for-2 effort with an RBI for Shelby County.
