The Shelby County Ladycats got back on the winning track with a 4-1 area victory over Sylacauga April 2.

Shelby County (11-2) held a 1-run lead after the third and added two more in the sixth to claim the 4-1 victory.

Brianna Buie led the Ladycats batting 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Jaselyn Harrison added a 1-for-4 effort with a double and two RBIs.

Jessica Carden pitched seven innings for the victory and allowed one run on three hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
