The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at Oak Mountain State Park on Saturday, March 30 to hide eggs for children ages birth-6 years old.

The park’s sixth-annual Easter egg hunt will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the park’s Dogwood and Lakeside pavilions off Terrace Drive, and will feature an egg hunt at 11 a.m. for kids 5 and younger and a hunt at 1 p.m. for ages 6 and older.

In addition to the egg hunts, the event will also feature face painting, hayrides, a moonwalk, a cake hop, sack races, a “guess the number of jelly beans” event, Easter basket raffles and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Each activity requires one ticket, which can be purchased at the event for $1 apiece.

The raffle baskets include items such as candy, stuffed animals and other toys, according to the state park.

Park day use fees will apply for the event, and are $3 per day for adults and are $1 for children ages 6-11 and for adults 62 and older.

OMSP also is seeking volunteers to help by hiding Easter eggs, painting faces, working the cake hop and more.
