Alabaster’s Albert L. Scott Public Library will be giving adults chances to sharpen their job-related skills during a series of free workshops this month.
Through a partnership with the Positive Maturity organization, the library is hosting a series of “Aging Workers are Reliable Employees” workshops in the library’s meeting room.
The workshops are focused on “gaining valuable skills that will prepare patrons for the workplace,” according to the Alabaster city website. All workshops are held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-noon.
After holding an interviewing skills workshop on Feb. 27 and an orientation workshop on March 6, the library will host an interviewing skills workshop on March 13, a networking workshop on March 20 and a resumé-writing workshop on March 27.
Registration is not required for the workshops. For more information, call the library at 664-6822.
