The Pelham Panthers softball team defeated county-rival Thompson 3-1 Feb. 27.

Pelham’s Becky Fox pitched four innings in the Panthers’ victory.

The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first before Thompson evened the score 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning. Pelham scored a run in the third an another in the fifth to seal the 3-1 victory.

Madi Walker went 2-for-3 to lead Pelham batters with a double and an RBI.
