HOOVER — The Hoover City Council set a public hearing for a local developer’s request to rezone 66 acres near the intersection of Caldwell Mill Road and Jaguar Drive for 109 homes during the council’s Feb. 18 meeting.
Signature Homes’ development plan also also includes a site for a potential future elementary school, as well as a community building and pool.
The public hearing will be March 18 at 6 p.m., during a regularly scheduled city council meeting.
If the request is approved by the Hoover City Council, the property will be rezoned A-1, agricultural district, to PRD, planned residential development district. Homes in the development are expected to have an average sale price of $400,000, according to Signature Homes documents.
