Pelham police investigating possible shooting

Pelham police are investigating a possible Feb. 18 shooting on Oliver Street, and have apprehended a suspect for questioning in the case.
Police responded to the 100 block of Oliver Street at about 1:30 p.m. when someone called 911 to report a gunshot wound victim. When officers and Pelham Fire Department medical responders arrived on the scene, they discovered an individual suffering from possible gunshot wounds to the abdomen and lower section of the left leg.
After the individual was treated by fire department medical responders, he was transported to a local hospital for further treatment, according to a police department press release.
As of about 5 p.m. on Feb. 18, police were questioning a suspect in the case, but had not released the name of the suspect or the gunshot wound victim.
