The Chelsea Lady Hornets opened the 2013 regular season with a 6-0 shutout win over Benjamin Russell Feb. 11 in Alexander City.

Chelsea opened the scoring for early in the first half when Olivia Bowman was fouled inside the box and the Lady Hornets were awarded a penalty kick. Britne Holdersby converted to give Chelsea the 1-0 lead.

Holdersby later added three more goals to finish the game with a game-high four scores. Megan Young added a goal and two assists while Sophie Wilson and Morgan Bramblett each scored a goal with an assist.

Annie Fox and Asia Bradford combined to shutout Benjamin Russell with three saves.
