CALERA – U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., will join residents for a “meet and greet” coffee event Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at Calera City Hall located at 10947 Alabama 25.

Shelby will address the legislative agenda for the first session of the 113th Congress, as well as important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama. Following his remarks, Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments from those in attendance.

“Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government,” Shelby wrote in a press release. “This will be a great chance to discuss the important issues facing our state and our nation.”
