Boys State wrapped up June 6

The 72nd–annual Alabama Boys State took place at the University of Montevallo May 31–June 6.
Alabama Boys State is a leadership program for young men who have completed their junior year of high school and are expected to be a campus leader during their senior year. It provides delegates with a working knowledge of how our government functions on the city, county and state levels.
The following young men represented Shelby County: Andrew Adair, son of Douglas and Nina Adair, William Clayton, son of Bart and Amy Clayton, both of Oak Mountain High School; Morgan Brom, son of Douglas and Rebecca Brom, and Lawrence Garrett, son of Phillip and Donna Garrett, both of Shelby County High School; Stephen Bulger, Cornerstone Christian, son of Douglas and Ollie Bulger; Eric Byrd, son of Richard and Suzette Byrd, and Joshua Stewart, son of Patrick and Angela Stewart, both of Thompson High School; Taylor Hall, Pelham High School, son of Kelly and Brian Hall; Ryan Jones, Calera High School, son of Keith and Patti Jones; David Kuyk, Briarwood Christian, son of Kris and Tami Kuyk; Joseph Levinson, Chelsea High School, son of Jim and Mariella Levinson; and Jonathan Weber, Coosa Valley Academy, son of Greg and Priscella Weber.
