Dear Editor,

It is amazing how our elected officials — who are daily aware of all the monies that are used in the city, county, state and country — are so blind to the fact that there is a lot more at stake here than their cronies.

Each day that goes by, all of our schools are like sitting ducks. They need some kind of armed personnel on campus. Given the state of our economy, the most logical choice is to train a few of the already employed school personnel.

This is a serious issue, but maybe not serious enough yet to make hard choices. What do you think?
