The Cornerstone Christian Chargers won their second consecutive area championship with a 46-36 victory over Chambers Academy Jan. 24.

The Chargers (13-4)  battled back from a slow start when they trailed 18-1 to start the game.

Guy Mitchell led Cornerstone in the win with 17 points. BJ Smith added 15 points, including three 3-pointers.

Cornerstone will now prepare for the region tournament held in Ashford Jan. 31-Feb. 2. The Chargers will open play at the tournament against South Montgomery County Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 31.
