MONTEVALLO  – The Montevallo City Council voted to change its meeting time to 6 p.m. during a Jan. 14 meeting.

The council’s work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of the month, followed by a 6 p.m. meeting.

The council previously held 6:30 p.m. work sessions followed by 7 p.m. meetings.

The time change, which Council members Rusty Nix and Don Hughes asked to be changed for a “trial period,” will begin during the Jan. 28 meeting, and will continue until further notice.
