In your July 13 paper, you had a picture of my son and his friends playing in Buck Creek. The boys were excited to be in your paper. On July 15, they went back to swim and were stopped by Helena police.

Their names, addresses and phone numbers were taken, and they were told they were trespassing and never to come back. I called the officer who stopped them, and he verified all the boys had told us. He wasn’t as pleasant to the boys as he was to me.

I wanted to thank you for the picture that you printed and tell you that from now on, the kids who tried to have a little fun swimming in Helena will now be in Pelham enjoying their summer.

And by the way, please let Mayor Penhale know that we will also be spending our money in Pelham instead of Helena. Thank you again for the picture of our boys. They all have it saved!
