The Briarwood Christian School softball team defeated Talladega 16-1 in high school softball action April 29.

Sara Kate Bracewell led the Lions as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Bracewell drove in three runs and scored one run in the victory.

Brooke Calma finished 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs. Rachel Walz finished 2-for-2 at the plate and scored three runs. Caroline Seay went 1-for-1 at the plate with a triple and scored three runs.

Linley Splawn earned the win after giving up one unearned run with one walk in three hitless innings. Calma allowed one hit in one inning in relief.
