Evangel Christian lost its first Alabama Christian Sports Conference game of the season on Dec. 8, falling to Evangel Family Christian Academy of Montgomery 36-34.

The Saints led most of the second half before a Lacey Entrekin basket finally tied the score at 30 with two minutes left, but the Lightning couldn’t convert at the free throw line down the stretch and failed to score in its final three possessions.

Entrekin had 13 points, 15 rebounds and five steals to pace Evangel, while Anna Byers also scored 13 points and added 11 rebounds.
