Rhonda Elmore, former associate executive director and youth and family director for the Pelham YMCA, has been named executive director for the Alabaster YMCA.

Elmore has been with the YMCA of Greater Birmingham since 2005.

She brings 17 years of YMCA experience from positions in Florida, Mississippi and Alabama to the role. Elmore has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Mississippi State University.

The Alabaster facility continues with its expansion, and is expected to move into the new space in January 2013.
