The Chelsea High School softball team defeated Talladega 10-0 to claim the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 regular season championship April 26.

Caitlin Bice led the Hornets (24-13) at the plate as she finished 3-for-4 with a triple and a double. Bice drove in four runs and scored one run in the victory.

Amanda Mock, who drove in one run and scored four runs, went 3-for-3 at the plate. Joslyn Johnston finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Morgan Pence earned the win in the circle after giving up just one hit with five strikeouts and a walk in a five-inning complete game.
