The Vincent High School softball team defeated Victory Christian 18-13 in high school softball action April 19.

Tori Cato led the Yellow Jackets at the plate as she finished 4-for-6 at the plate with a double. Cato drove in four runs in the victory.

Courtney Perry finished 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in three runs. Amber Shaw reached base in each of her plate appearances and finished with two stolen bases.

Courtney Holston earned the win in the circle after finishing with four strikeouts in a complete game.

Vincent coach Amy Hawk praised Tori Cato, Destanie Howard and Shaw for their play defensively.

“(The three) made several smart plays to help us get the win,” Hawk said.
