The Alabaster Board of Education’s meeting originally scheduled for the night of Nov. 12 will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m. as a result of the Veterans Day holiday.
The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. on Nov. 12, but will instead be held Nov. 14 at the Alabaster Senior Center, said School Board member Adam Moseley.
During the Nov. 14 meeting, Alabaster BOE Coordinator of Administrative Services Dr. Phillip Hammonds will give the board members an update on the city’s separation negotiations with the Shelby County School System.
The board is also scheduled to vote on a motion to fund an assessment of school facilities in the city during the Nov. 14 meeting. If funded, Hammonds said the study would provide a “detailed, accurate look” at the seven school facilities in Alabaster’s city limits.
