The Thompson High School girls’ tennis team defeated Gardendale 7-2 in high school tennis action April 7.

The Warriors (11-2) won five of the six singles’ matches and two of the three doubles’ matches against Gardendale.

Erin Hutter of Thompson defeated Lauren Hall 10-4 of Gardendale in the No. 2 singles’ match. Maria Siow of Thompson defeated Julie Parker of Gardendale 10-3 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Victoria Killingsworth of Thompson defeated Morgan Brown of Gardendale 10-0 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Maci Hendrix of Thompson defeated Ema Hill of Gardendale 10-3 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Olivia Sorrell of Thompson defeated Katie Huett of Gardendale 10-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Laura Harwell and Killingsworth of Thompson defeated Parker and Brown 10-5 in the No. 2 doubles’ match. Hendrix and Sorrell defeated Hill and Otis 10-5 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
