Pets are family members, so why not include them in your holiday pictures?
Photos by April Photography and Calera Animal Hospital are getting together to offer holiday photos of your pets.
“I know everyone loves their pet, so I am teaming up with Calera Animal Hospital to shoot pictures at their clinic,” owner April Phillips said. “Pets, other than reptiles, that Santa can hold or sit beside him are welcomed.”
Calera Animal Hospital owner Dr. Rhonda Ellison hopes this will become an annual event.
“We are extremely pleased to be hosting Photos by April for our first Holiday Pet Photo Day,” Ellison said. “We have reached out to our entire client list by email and hope to get a good turnout. We are always looking for new ways to provide additional services to our clients and this seems like a good one — our client’s cute pets and Santa Claus, who wouldn’t like that?”
Phillips has three years experience in the photography field. “I have taken pictures for many local organizations such as the YMCA soccer team in Clanton and Calera Fall Ball,” Phillips said. “I always give back 15 percent to those type organizations. I shoot subjects such as sports, bridal, pets, children, babies and maternity. My favorites are pets and children. I love to see how they have grown year to year. I feel very honored to help out the Calera Animal Hospital, I love animals.”
Packages are a choice of photos ranging from wallet to 8×10. Cash or check is accepted. Photos will be ready for pick-up two weeks after the event. Phillips’ work can be viewed on Facebook and Photosbyaprilphotography.com. For other type bookings, contact Phillips at 365-8039.
Calera Animal Hospital is located at 9370 Shelby County 25. The event is scheduled for Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
