The Chelsea High School girls’ tennis team defeated Shelby County 7-2 in high school tennis action April 5.

The Hornets won five singles’ matches and two doubles’ matches against Shelby County.

Lindsay Kate Glausier of Chelsea defeated Jessica Rasco of Shelby County 8-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match. Shannon Reilly of Chelsea defeated Kaylyn Billingsley of Shelby County 8-2 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Natalie Foster of Chelsea defeated Kirsten Hyatt of Shelby County 8-1 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Audrey Vickers of Chelsea defeated Cherish Miller of Shelby County 8-6 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Sharon Foster of Chelsea defeated Brooke McCullough of Shelby County 8-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Kaylee Dismuke and Reilly of Chelsea defeated Brandi Quick and Rasco of Shelby County 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Glausier and Vickers of Chelsea defeated Billingsley and Hyatt of Shelby County 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Shelby County won one singles’ match and one doubles’ match against Chelsea.

Quick defeated Dismuke 8-0 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Miller and McCullough defeated Sharon Foster and Natalie Foster 8-4 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
