Kingwood Christian softball tops Cornerstone Christian

The Kingwood Christian School softball team defeated rival Cornerstone Christian School 7-0 in high school softball action April 4.
The Lions (28-1) racked up 14 hits in the win.
Madeline Lee (7-1) led Kingwood Christian with a two-run homer in the victory. Lee drove in four runs and scored three runs.
Whitney Gillespie finished 3-for-4 and scored two runs. Blair Holsombeck and Kaylyn Ingram finished with two hits each.
Ingram allowed only four hits in a complete game with nine strikeouts.
Jana Kelbie Armstrong took the loss for Cornerstone Christian after giving up eight earned runs on 14 hits with eight strikeouts and one walk in a complete game.
