The Westminster School at Oak Mountain girls’ tennis team defeated Fultondale 7-2 in a high school tennis match March 28.

The Knights won five of the six singles’ matches and two of the three doubles’ matches.

Sally Lankford of Westminster defeated Erin Turner of Fultondale 8-2 in the No. 2 singles’ match. Rebecca Thompson of Westminster defeated Madison Jones of Fultondale 9-7 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Collins Mills of Westminster defeated Kayla Adams of Fultondale 8-0 in the No. 4 singles’ match. Emily Gibson of Westminster defeated Raven Ison of Fultondale 8-2 in the No. 5 singles’  match. The Knights won the No. 6 singles’ match by forfeit.

Thompson and Mills defeated Jones and Adams in the No. 2 doubles’ match. Westminster won the No. 3 doubles’ match by forfeit.

Savannah Mills of Westminster fell to Kelsey Rembert of Fultondale 8-2 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Mills and Lankford fell to Rembert and Turner 8-4 in the No. 1 doubles’ match.
