The Evangel Christian School baseball team swept Tabernacle Christian in a baseball doubleheader March 26.

The Lightning defeated Tabernacle 1-0 in the opener.

Hayden Brown led Evangel Christian (11-4) at the plate as he finished 1-for-2 and scored a run.

Daniel Ellis went 1-for-2. Roecker Melick finished 1-for-2. Nate Scott drove in the game-winning run.

Ben Albright earned the win on the mound after giving up two hits with five strikeouts in a complete game.

The Lightning defeated Tabernacle 6-3 in the nightcap.

Clay O’Neal led Evangel Christian at the plate as he finished 1-for-1 with a solo home run. O’Neal drove in one run and scored one run.

Peter Lau, who drove in a run and scored a run, went 1-for-2. Hayden Brown finished 1-for-2 and drove in a run. Albright went 1-for-2 and scored a run.

Scott drove in two runs. Thomas Milstead scored one run. Phillip Foster drove in one run in the victory.

Scott earned the win on the mound after giving up three earned runs on six hits with a strikeout and two walks in three innings.

Brandon Mackey gave up one hit in two innings in relief and earned a save.
