The Kingwood Christian School softball team defeated Cornerstone Christian 14-0 in high school softball action March 24.

Erin Jones led the Lions at the plate as she finished 3-for-4 with a double. Jones drove in two runs and scored four runs in the victory.

Whitney Gillespie finished 2-for-4 and scored three runs. Kaylyn Ingram went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Blair Holsombeck finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

Gillespie allowed only one hit with 12 strikeouts in a five-inning complete-game shutout.

Jana Armstrong led Cornerstone Christian at the plate as she finished 1-for-2.

Armstrong took the loss in the circle after giving up nine earned runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts in a five-inning complete game.
