Kenneth Peters, 83, of Pea Ridge passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, in Birmingham. Mr. Peters is survived by a daughter, Sherill Champion of Birmingham; sisters, Zenoba Harmon of West Blocton, Carolyn Gray of Montevallo and Ruelane Bice (Corky) of Brierfield; sister-in-law, Betty Peters of Montevallo; brother, Tom Peters of Northport; grandchildren, Katherine Champion Dunn of Nashville, Tenn., and Jonathon Champion of Montevallo; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Peters served in the U.S. Army during the years of 1946-1948.

Funeral services will be held at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel, Montevallo, Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. He will lie in-state at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Pea Ridge. Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo is directing. Rockcofuneralhomes.com.
