INDIAN SPRINGS — On April 23, Indian Springs will continue a tradition heading into its third decade.

Every year since 1990, Indian Springs has held a town Easter egg hunt. This year’s hunt will include more than 2,500 eggs and around 200 kids, said organizer Brenda Bell-Guercio.

The event will be at 3 p.m. April 23 at the Indian Springs Village Town Hall.

“I just think Indian Springs is a small community, and it’s just another way for us to get together,” Bell-Guercio said. “We’re kind of a close-knit community. We don’t have any aspirations of being a big city.”

Children from under age 2 to age 12 are invited to participate. Each child must bring his or her own basket. Different age groups will have different areas marked off to hunt for eggs.

Bell-Guercio said each age group will have a special egg with a piece of paper with the word “prize” inside. Whoever gets that egg in each group will win a special prize.

At the end of the hunt, there will also be prizes and candy for all of the children who participate.

The Easter bunny will also be available for photos.
