The Chelsea High School softball team edged Spain Park 8-7 in high school softball action March 10.

Alex Osborn led the Hornets at the plate as she finished 4-for-4 with a home run and a double. Osborn drove in three runs and scored one run.

Joslyn Johnston finished 2-for-4 with a triple and scored two runs. Caitlin Bice went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Bice picked up the win in the circle in relief after giving up two earned runs on four hits in two innings. Morgan Pence started for Chelsea and gave up two earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and three walks in five innings.

DeKayla Sankey led Spain Park at the plate as she finished 4-for-4. Sankey scored three runs.

Hannah Camp went 2-for-4 with a double. Camp scored two runs and drove in one run. Erin Hornsby had a home run and two singles. Caroline Holmes drove in a run.

Channing Haynes took the loss in the circle for Spain Park.
