The University of Montevallo women’s golf team traveled to Winter Springs, Fla. to compete in the 36th annual Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational on March 8.

The field featured many of the top golfers and teams in the nation. Montevallo finished 13th in the field of 14 teams.

Senior Emily Gibson finished tied for 21st in individual standings to lead the Falcons. Gibson shot a three-round score of 237 while shooting a team-best 78 in both the second and third rounds.

Freshman Tracey Marshall finished tied for 72nd in individual standings with a score of 266. Freshman Hilary Shaner finished in 77th with a score of 272.

Sophomore Kaylee Hale and senior Heather Mutton rounded out the Montevallo team finishing in 78th and 80th, respectively.
