The Pelham High School softball team defeated Pell City 7-1 in high school softball action March 7.

The Panthers scored two runs in each of the first two innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead early in the game.

Caitlyn Sapp led Pelham at the plate as she finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Kristian Foster went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Heather McGuirk finished 1-for-2. Erin Whitman drove in a run. Kayla Eatson scored a run.

Emily Spain picked up the win in the circle after giving up only one earned run on seven hits with seven strikeouts in a complete game.
