The Pelham High School girls’ soccer team defeated Smiths Station and Gardendale in the Lakeshore Shootout tournament Feb. 25.

The Panthers defeated Smiths Station 3-0 in their first game.

Jessica Bird scored all three goals for the Panthers, who improved to 3-0 with the victory.

Natalia Alcaino finished with two assists. Pelham goalkeeper Selina Delgadillo recorded 12 saves in the shutout.

Pelham defeated Gardendale 2-1 in its second game.

Ashley Gardner scored a first half goal and Bird scored a penalty-kick goal in the second half to clinch the victory.

Delgadillo finished with nine saves.
