ALABASTER-Tuscaloosa Academy was no match for Kingwood Christian falling 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-21) at Kingwood on Sept. 17.

Kingwood was led by Madelyn Pearce with eight kills and five ace services. Katie Allen Etheridge and Casey Whitmer also had solid nights for the Lions with Etheridge adding seven kills, three ace services, and a block, while Whitmer chipped in six kills and four blocks.  Blair Holsombeck paced the Lions with 17 assists, three aces and three kills.
