Oak Mountain tops Sylacauga in tennis match

The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team defeated Sylacauga 6-3 in a high school tennis match Feb. 23.
The Eagles (1-3) won four singles’ matches and two doubles’ matches against Sylacauga.
Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain fell to Jonathan Vick of Sylacauga 7-5, 6-4 in the No. 1 singles’ match. The Eagles’ Kyle Ehlers defeated Nathanell Killough of Sylacauga 7-6, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match.
Oak Mountain’s Thomas Mason defeated Will Killough of Sylacauga 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Jake Marinelli of Oak Mountain fell to Andrew Collins of Sylacauga 7-5, 6-3 in the No. 4 singles’ match.
Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain defeated Tyler Mitchell of Sylacauga 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 5 singles’ match. The Eagles’ Mark Newton defeated Collin Minor 6-4, 7-6 in the No. 6 singles’ match.
Touliatos and Ehlers fell to Vick and Collins 10-5 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Mason and Marinelli defeated Killough and Mitchell 10-6 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.
Dodson and Andriy Naavhust of Oak Mountain defeated Killough and Cory Kimber of Sylacauga 10-4 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
