The Church at Shelby Crossings in Calera recently named Ken Letson as its new senior pastor.

Letson is a native of Midfield and earned degrees from UAB and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He previously pastored at South Perimeter Church in Hoover and CrossWay Community Church in Alabaster.

Prior to entering full-time ministry, he served as the sports information director at UAB. He also served as the Blazers’ football team chaplain for 12 years. The 48–year–old Letson and his wife Nan have six children.
